Advocate at the local, regional and national levels within the Catholic Church for the spiritual and cultural development and enrichment of the Black Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Chicago in collaboration with Francis Cardinal George, O.M.I., Archbishop of Chicago, Bishop Joseph N. Perry, Auxiliary Bishop of Chicago, parishes, pastors, pastoral staffs, agencies and agency directors of the Archdiocese of Chicago.

The mission of the Office for Black Catholics is to serve Haitians, Afro-Caribbeans, Africans, and African-Americans.  The Office provides supportive resources, programs, initiatives and ministries designed to enhance the spiritual and social-justice needs of the Archdiocese of Chicago Black Catholic Community.
